2023 Female Athlete Conference

2023 Highlights

The 2023 Female Athlete Conference took place in person at the Seaport Hotel in Boston, MA, on June 14-16th, with a pre-conference event on June 13th.

The hybrid conference featured a virtual option from June 23-July 21st that gave attendees on-demand access to all mainstage and track sessions from the in-person event.

Session topics included bone stress injuries, intersectionality, REDs, postpartum return to sport, ACL tears in female athletes, mental health, and more. In total, the 2023 Female Athlete Conference attracted nearly 1,500 registrants.

We hosted our first pre-conference event in partnership with the Flagpole Hill Fund at the Harry Parker Boathouse in Brighton, MA. The Pre-Conference gave attendees the opportunity to meet expert researchers and clinicians, learn methods for conducting studies in athletic girls and women, and learn how to translate current research into interdisciplinary clinical care.
